The Living Gallery got some Pussy Power

I know I'm late with these posts but this is what happens when you are a one man army. Anyhow last Tuesday(the 8th) I heading to Brooklyn for a art exhibit for one of my favorites: Andrea Cook. As you know from my previous blog and Soundcloud I been following the leader of the #PussyPowerPosse for some time now and even documented some of her exhibits as well. Tuesday I got to see one of her last shows before she goes on tour. I must say it was different because she had different collaborators in the fold for this one. The theme for the night was pussy power and the art displayed represented the message in the right way. Even though the space was small for my liking, there was plenty of displays to go around to fill up the walls. I walked around the location and peep the stickers and photos describing the meaning of pussy power and what it mean to the artists. The crowd started to fill in as the night progressed and realized that the art displayed was impactful.

I walked the venue and ended up in the backyard where there was a grill and seats. Of course I didn't eat or drink I ended up hitting the bar afterwards(Lone Wolf thanks) but I wanted to soak up the atmosphere and got a chance to listen to the artists along Andrea herself describing their work and what it means to them. It was a great night for all those involved. I am glad I was able to see Andrea one more before she leaves(maybe another time soon?) I hope she has a great time in Europe and safe travels. Long live #PussyPower
