Hearing the frustration and anguish from lead singer Lauren Kashan vocals lets me know that Sharptooth is not a band to be to taken lightly at all. As the Baltimore quintet gears up for a fall tour they released a standalone single and video to get the crowd ready. As you can see in the clip above the lyrics are dark, angry and piercing into your brain with every guitar riff. The song is raw as it addresses mental illness/health and depicts it in a way that shows vulnerability unlike most. Under 3 minutes Sharptooth packs enough energy in it to keep the listener attention and heart racing.
I was keeping this on repeat as I realize I was on the train among people. I was turned on the hard drums and bass guitar but the lyrics can resonate to anyone who at some point feel that way at some point in their life. This track is ferocious and definitely needed as the group haven't released new music since 2017. Hopefully they dropped something new more often since we need it. Check out Sharptooth on tour below:
