    Vagabon At the Mailroom

Last Saturday I was at the Mailroom, a lowkey bar on Wall Street that just opened up to intimate performances to small crowds. This night I went for Pancakes & Whiskey Presents which I figure to finally go to for once. The artist name: Vagabon aka Laetitia Tamko, a singer-songwriter from Cameroon now located in New York. I found out about Vagabon through Pancakes and Whiskey review page. I decided to give her a listen and be open minded to the music. One listen and I was hook

    #NewMusicAlert Lex One "Wonder Jungle"

Finally getting around to post some new music for y'all so bear with me as I continue to rummage through the inbox. I saw this link and was like "I heard about him but how do he sound" After listening to the song a few times I must say he is better than rappers coming out of Florida these days but that's not saying much. I had to see is he worth the attention and based off this video I must say not really. There is potential there and he has room to grow but we shall see what

#NewMusicAlert Thermin Munsin "Plastic Surgery Face" featuring Guilty Simpson

Got a chance to listen to this track from homegrown talent Thermin Munsin off his latest project "Sabbath" I got to admit this man has putting in work these couple of months and it hasn't slowed down yet. I hope he keeps this energy for the rest of the year. Peep the track below featuring Detroit's Son: Guilty Simpson #music #hiphop #brooklyn #newyork #therminmunsin #guiltysimpson

    Baeble Music Presents: A R I Z O N A & Future Generations at Industry City

Went back to Industry CIty which is becoming a haven for great outdoor concerts and events lately to witness two up and coming bands: Baeble Music Presents: A R I Z O N A and Future Generations. Usually I don't go to Sunset Park for just music so this had to be good otherwise it would be a tragedy for me to come out of Queens. I did and good thing I did because I saw two great performances along side with some good drinks. I got the chance to get a good view even though the l
    Khalid In LES

    Khalid In LES

Last Saturday, I got a chance to witness Khalid aka American Teen in action and needless to say I was intrigued to see is the hype around him worth it. First off I have to give myself credit for even going all the way to East River Park Bandshell because from Queens that's a helluva journey and on a Saturday no less. I was able to get there with ease but getting inside the venue was hell. I walked towards the bandshell and it was packed. I was shocked because I never thought

    DJ Premier talks in Brooklyn

`I'm playing catch up and so far I am almost up to speed. Last Wednesday I was in Brooklyn again..this time to catch the legend DJ Premier in action. He wasn't spinning records, he was sitting down being interviewed by Rob Markman at the Genius Headquarters. For those who don't know what Genius is, just remember their previous incarnation: RapGenius.com the controversial website that butchering rap lyrics by allowing fans to recite them and write down on the site. Nowadays th

    The Flourish Party 8/18/17

Another art exhibition in Brooklyn and I am here for the festivities. I stumbled upon this in my inbox and decided to make the trip to Williamsburg. The Flourish Party showcased photography from Carl Cornelius. Here at Kinfolk 94 the photos was up and the people kept coming in and admiring the pictures. DJ Greedy was providing the soundtrack for the atmosphere. I was surprised by how intimate the spot look for this event. The photos was great. Each one show a location where C

The Living Gallery got some Pussy Power

I know I'm late with these posts but this is what happens when you are a one man army. Anyhow last Tuesday(the 8th) I heading to Brooklyn for a art exhibit for one of my favorites: Andrea Cook. As you know from my previous blog and Soundcloud I been following the leader of the #PussyPowerPosse for some time now and even documented some of her exhibits as well. Tuesday I got to see one of her last shows before she goes on tour. I must say it was different because she had diffe

    Jadakiss Conquers The Bronx

A weekend(last weekend to be exact) was finished by heading to a performance in the Bronx by the D Block General, Jadakiss. I have seen him perform in the past but as part of the LOX and never solo until now. I also had to keep in mind that was part of City Parks Summerstage concert series so it was going to be short and quick. I love City Parks for the free concert concept and of course as the saying goes you get what you pay for. In this case Jada has too many hits to only
    Las Almas Errantes

    Las Almas Errantes

I know I am a week late posting this but hey better late than never. To be honest I should have done this earlier but so many events came up where I didn't get the opportunity until now so here it goes. August 4th I went to Rockaway Brewing Co for this art exhibit/pop up shop. It was called Las Almas Errantes and the list of artists that was displaying and selling their pieces to the public. It was a crazy week for me as I kept getting into art exhibit after art exhibit and w
